The "puy-your-home-dir-on-a-seperat -partition"-trick always seemed nice to me. Even reinstalling the entire os won't make you lose your data! But i was always a bit troubled by all the settings that were saved there as well. It i won't install the same programs after the reinstall, it just seems like clutter right?
